METTME REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) sets out the terms governing refunds for MettMe subscriptions, event tickets, and other purchases. By making any purchase through MettMe, you accept and agree to this Policy. This Policy applies to users worldwide and includes state-specific and country-specific provisions where required.
1. SUBSCRIPTIONS
1.1 How Subscriptions Work
MettMe offers subscription plans (“MettMe Premium”) available on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless canceled before the renewal date.
1.2 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next renewal date using the following methods:
Apple App Store subscribers: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > MettMe > Cancel. Or visit https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Apple’s cancellation must be completed before midnight the day before your renewal date.
Google Play subscribers: Google Play app > Menu > Subscriptions > MettMe > Cancel. Or visit https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Direct (web/card) subscribers: MettMe app > Settings > Subscription > Cancel, or email support@mettme.com.
After cancellation, you retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period. Your subscription will not auto-renew and you will not be charged again.
1.3 Refunds for Subscriptions — General Rule
GENERALLY, ALL SUBSCRIPTION PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused subscription time, or periods during which you chose not to use the Service.
Exceptions to this general rule are set out below.
1.4 Refund Exceptions
Duplicate charges: if you are accidentally charged twice for the same period, contact us within 30 days for a correction.
Extended service outage: if the Service is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to MettMe’s fault, we may at our discretion issue a pro-rata account credit. Scheduled maintenance does not qualify.
Unauthorized charges: if you did not authorize a charge, contact us immediately at support@mettme.com and we will investigate.
Death: in the event of a subscriber’s death, the estate is entitled to a refund of any unused subscription time. Contact us at support@mettme.com with supporting documentation.
Disability: if you become disabled (such that you are unable to use the app) before the end of your subscription period, you may request a refund for the unused portion. Contact support@mettme.com with documentation.
Legal requirements: where local law requires a refund right, we will comply (see state-specific and EU/UK terms below).
1.5 State-Specific Refund Rights (United States)
Users in the following states have additional statutory refund rights that apply notwithstanding our general no-refund policy:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin: you may cancel your subscription within three (3) business days of purchase for a full refund. After that, you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused portion. Requests must be submitted to support@mettme.com.
If you reside in another US state with mandatory consumer refund rights not listed above, your statutory rights are preserved.
1.6 EU/UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase without giving any reason.
IMPORTANT: By starting to use Premium features immediately (e.g., accessing unlimited messaging, enhanced visibility, or advanced filters), you expressly request that we begin providing the service before the 14-day withdrawal period expires. In doing so, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed. If the service has not been fully performed, you will be charged a proportionate amount for what you have already received up to the point you cancel.
To exercise this right, send a clear statement to support@mettme.com within 14 days of purchase. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your notice.
1.7 Refunds for App Store Subscriptions
If you subscribed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds are processed exclusively by Apple or Google, and not by MettMe:
Apple: Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com and submit a refund request. Alternatively, contact Apple Support at https://support.apple.com.
Google: Visit https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 or open the Play Store > Subscriptions > Request Refund.
MettMe has no ability to access or override app store billing systems.
2. VIRTUAL ITEMS AND ONE-TIME PURCHASES
MettMe may offer one-time purchasable in-app features, including profile Boosts, Super Likes, event credits, and other virtual goods (“Virtual Items”).
ALL PURCHASES AND REDEMPTIONS OF VIRTUAL ITEMS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT METTME IS NOT REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A REFUND FOR VIRTUAL ITEMS FOR ANY REASON, AND THAT YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE MONEY OR OTHER COMPENSATION FOR UNUSED VIRTUAL ITEMS WHEN AN ACCOUNT IS CLOSED, WHETHER SUCH CLOSURE WAS VOLUNTARY OR INVOLUNTARY (INCLUDING ACCOUNT TERMINATION OR BAN).
Exception — Technical Non-Delivery: If a Virtual Item fails to be delivered or credited to your account due to a verified technical error on MettMe’s part, contact support@mettme.com within 48 hours. We will either resolve the technical issue or, if unable to do so, issue a refund. You must contact us before the feature’s expiry period ends.
3. EVENT TICKETS
3.1 General
Some MettMe events require paid tickets. Ticket prices vary by event, city, and format (in-person or virtual). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the specific event guidelines and any event-specific terms presented at checkout.
3.2 If MettMe Cancels an Event
If we cancel an event, you will receive either:
A full refund to your original payment method (processed within 7–10 business days); OR
A full MettMe event credit valid for future events (your choice)
We will notify you via email and in-app notification as early as possible — typically at least 24 hours before the event, unless the cancellation is due to an emergency.
3.3 If You Cancel Your Ticket
The following cancellation terms apply based on how far in advance you cancel:
7+ days before the event: full refund, less a processing fee of $5 USD (or 10% of the ticket price, whichever is lower)
3 to 7 days before the event: 50% refund of the ticket price
Less than 3 days before the event: no refund. You may transfer your ticket to another eligible user via the app (subject to MettMe approval and eligibility verification)
No-show (no cancellation submitted): no refund
To cancel, go to My Events > select the event > Cancel Registration. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.
3.4 Event Changes and Rescheduling
If an event is rescheduled to a new date, time, or location, you will be notified promptly and offered the choice to:
Attend the rescheduled event at no extra cost; OR
Receive a full refund (contact support@mettme.com within 7 days of the rescheduling notice)
Minor changes (e.g., same venue area, up to 1-hour time shift, replacement of a guest) do not automatically qualify for a refund.
3.5 Special Event Terms
High-demand, VIP, multi-day, or destination events may have stricter refund terms, which will be clearly stated on the event page and in your ticket confirmation. Your purchase of such tickets constitutes acceptance of those event-specific terms.
3.6 Extenuating Circumstances
If a documented emergency (serious illness, death in the family, natural disaster, or government travel restriction) prevents you from attending after the cancellation deadline, contact support@mettme.com within 48 hours of the event with:
Your ticket confirmation and account email
A description of the circumstance
Supporting documentation (e.g., medical note, death certificate, official notice)
We review extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Approval is at MettMe’s sole discretion and is not guaranteed.
4. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal with your bank or card issuer without first contacting MettMe customer support, we may immediately suspend or terminate your account. We encourage you to contact us first — we want to resolve billing issues fairly and quickly.
Chargebacks initiated fraudulently or in bad faith constitute a violation of our Terms and may result in a permanent ban and legal action to recover disputed amounts. If a chargeback is resolved in our favor, you will be responsible for any associated costs.
5. POLICY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
5.1 Terminated Accounts. If your account is terminated or suspended for violating our Terms, you forfeit all right to refunds for subscriptions, Virtual Items, or event tickets. This applies even if unused time or items remain on your account.
5.2 Force Majeure. Refunds are not provided for event or service disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, or third-party venue closures. We may offer credits or rescheduling alternatives at our discretion.
5.3 Regional Pricing. Prices may vary by country or region based on local purchasing power and market conditions. Refunds are issued in the original currency and amount paid.
6. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
To request a refund for any eligible purchase, contact us at support@mettme.com and include:
Your account email address and username
The transaction ID, order confirmation number, or Apple/Google receipt
The type of purchase (subscription, event ticket, Virtual Item)
The reason for your refund request
Any supporting documentation (if applicable)
We will review your request within 5–7 business days and notify you of the outcome by email. Approved refunds will be processed as follows:
Credit/debit card: 7–10 business days from approval
PayPal or digital wallets: 5–7 business days from approval
Apple App Store / Google Play: processed by Apple/Google; typically 7–14 business days
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes — especially those that reduce your refund rights — will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of MettMe after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
